dalloway is done is a queer indiesleaze story i’ve been kicking around as a novel, as a play, as a musical. It’s rooted in cinema, art history, literature, and longing.
I’m a published writer and artist, and after being told the concept was “too niche” and “too strange,” I chose to build it queerly. The lyrics are my own. The melodies are a melange. In this proof-of-concept phase, I’ve used AI as a sketching tool to prototype the sound and world of the piece.
The long-term vision is fully human collaboration: musicians, performers, and creatives bringing it to life in real rooms.
